Who We Are..

The Mobile Sports Group, a division of The Mobile Xperience is a Mobile Marketing, Technology and Consulting Company for the Sports, Collegiate and Sponsorship Industry.

Since 2005 we have been providing complete mobile advertising services, from concept to execution, delivery and campaign management, to reporting and analysis.  Mobile marketing can help teams and Sports Properties build meaningful one-to-one relationships with fans, sponsors, alumni, viewers, and consumers. The purpose of mobile marketing is to communicate, deliver and exchange value with consumers.


Rick Furr, President of Mobile Sports Division at The Mobile Xperience Company

Rick Furr brings over 20+ years in sports marketing to The Mobile Xperience Company. Rick has extensive background in Professional Baseball, Collegiate Athletics, and Sports Media. Working in professional baseball, Furr has served as Broadcast Sales Manager for the Florida Marlins, General Manager in the Detroit Tigers Minor League organization, and Director of Broadcasting for the Baltimore Orioles organization.

As GM in the Tigers Class A affiliate, Rick doubled attendance his first year, at the time, built the largest play-by-play network in Minor League Baseball, managed day-to-day operations, hired a telemarketing staff that tripled full-season ticket sales, developed ball park promotions that complemented community events, and most important, increased owner’s franchise value.

His experience in baseball has been associated with opening a new stadium, hiring sponsorship & ticket sales personnel, creating game-day promotions; bringing play-by-play broadcast in-house, building media partnerships, selling suites & premium seating, negotiating vendor contracts, expanding the team broadcast affiliates, and serving as play-by-play color-analyst.

In collegiate athletics, Rick has worn the hat as both coach and athletic administrator. At ISU, he managed external operations, provided a comprehensive marketing plan for (15) sports, and directed all game-day events. His marketing program increased football attendance 19% and women’s basketball attendance tripled in one year. Rick oversaw all media buys, negotiated media agreements, and supervised the broadcast team. He worked on fundraising event campaigns to help meet the needs of facility enhancements and student-athletic scholarship programs. At Austin Peay State University, Rick was the assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator.

Rick served as National Sports Manager for both CBS Sports Radio & Clear Channel for six years. During this time, he worked in major markets in Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta. His primary task was selling sports media sponsorships to national & regional marketing executives. He represented over 50+ sports play-by-play sports properties, list of teams included some of the best franchises in sports; Dodgers, Cardinals, Yankees, Mets, Braves, Cowboys, Redskins, Eagles, Patriots, Giants, Jets, Vikings, Bears, Ravens, Lakers, Bulls, UCLA, etc.

 


Dean Steinman, CEO of The MobileXperience

Dean Steinman brings over 22+ years in advertising and marketing to The Mobile Industry. Dean has successfully started and launched several marketing and advertising companies, and has extensive background in Media, Web, Promotions, and Technology. Working in marketing, Dean has served as Sales Manager, Product Development Manager, Vice President, President and CEO of several Companies.

As a Lifelong sports fan Dean decided to launch the Sports Division of the MobileXperience in 2009 to fill a void in the space. By positioning the company on the forefront of technology and bringing the newest in Mobile Strategies to the Sports world, Steinman sees the Mobile Sports Group as the leader in Mobile Sports Marketing, Fundraising and Green Initiatives.

Steinman brings to The Mobile Sports Group over 20 years of corporate negotiations, detailed marketing analysis, social media platforms and a diverse marketing media background.
